  It is a very natural human behavior to eat one meal or more per day. But some unlucky people who aspire to lose weight cannot get in such luxuries.


  If such people wish to lose weight, then they will have to stop snacking on unhealthy foods. Ideally it is best to have 5-6 small meals throughout the day. But most working people do not find time to schedule their meal pattern accordingly. Such people can have three well balanced meals every day and snack 2-3 times between their meals.


  Now that certainly does not mean that you can have a double-layered meat burger with extra cheese and French fries and soda to compliment the burger for meals. If you indulge in such unhealthy eating habits and incorporate few healthy snacks to these, then you are not going to get benefited in any way. So ensure that you have a well-balanced nutritious meal and snack on some healthy foods in between to lose weight.


  For starters, make sure that you do not skip any meals. Skipping meals will make you snack often in a day and you might end up eating a lot. Always be prepared with your own healthy snacking options, so that you do not have to go look for a burger joint or a pack of chips, in your office cafeteria.


  Leave your home after having breakfast and carry lunch from home. Along with lunch also carry a mid-morning snack which you can have sometime between your breakfast and lunch. This snack can be handful of unsalted nuts like almonds, walnuts etc. These being rich source of fibers will make you feel full fast and are low in calories.


  You can also carry any fruits of your choice like apples, peaches, berries, etc. Apart from mid-morning snack also keep handy a mid-evening snack which you can have half way through your lunch and dinner. This can also contain fruits or nuts. You can also choose to keep 2-3 slices of brown bread handy and have it with a tasty peanut butter spread. This is again healthy and low on calories.


  Most people tend to feel hungry few hours after their dinner. Most people tend to rely on the desserts lying in their refrigerator like a pudding, cake or ice-creams. But do you have any idea how many calories you are taking in, at this time of the day, when you have to do nothing but just go to sleep after having these high in calories foods. So you will have to be very careful in choosing your snack at this hour.


  You can have a glass of skimmed milk which will make you feel full and help you sleep better. You can also choose to munch on 2-3 cream crackers or some nuts. Also remember to have plenty of water to feel full and to keep yourself hydrated throughout the day. Apart from following a healthy diet plan also work out daily to burn those calories faster. Good eating and snacking habits with a good exercise routine will certainly help you lose weight.
